Valves tapping?

I have an 84 200X for my wife. She never rides it real hard. I rode it yesterday and noticed at about 3/4 throttle it sounds like the valves are tapping. I happens in all gears, is it the cam? Or do I have another issue?Thanks in advance for your help.

you could also be running lean and detonating. if you dont know the sould it is like a ping / bang. pull your plug and make sure it is a dark tan color. white is very bad.
