200x gas tank

i want to paint my gas tank ive pulled all the old stickers off now i have a stick mess any tricks of the trade to get the sticky and old paint off sand paper? media blast? i would like to just use sand paper to avoid damaging the tank what grit? wet dry please help

Use this stuff on a rag, wear gloves, works great. I have not tried the citrus version, but it is probably healthier:

+1 on that, it offs my goofs, and I goof a lot, CRC crab cleaner works well on honda stickers as well
