I have been trying to figure out how to get 12VDC out of my ATC 110. Because the stator only has one wire coming out of it, someone on an electronics board has said that it is internally rectified, "Half wave".
Is there a schematic available that would show me the way that the lighting coil is hooked up?

Thanks! I hooked up a KBPC1006 rectifier to the output of the lighting circuit and I was able to run my cigarette lighter inflator from the motor!

that's cool... you gave it a power outlet like a Big Red

A cigarette lighter outlet is next. I used alligator clips to make it work, but it got up to 30 PSI just on the engine alternator alone! If I add even a small battery it will greatly increase the output. Even though our tires only take under 3 PSI.

yea, I've never found a clear answer regarding the output.
is it true AC? or pulsating DC?
or half wave AC.
Wil it fry anything if the current draw is too high?
I'm not even sure if theres a fuse in the system but thinking not if there is no battery
Now I have seen custom light coils for sale that put out 200 watts but they dont tell any other specs and these are the people who MAKE them.
the only recitfier possibility I see is in the cdi to run the coil but the more I learn, the less I know
If I cant find an answer soon, I'm gonna borrow an oscilliscope and SEE what its putting out

Why do you have to know what sort of output it is?
