will a 85 kx250 dirtbike motor fit in my 84 tecate?

so can i put a 85 kx 250 in my 84 tecate without any mods to my frame? ok i may have got screwed on my tecate and may need a engine as some clown tried to weld the stator on and it worked until the weld broke and while searching to find the no spark found this issue ,

As far as a bolt in I'm not sure. The 85 KX motor is closer to the 86-87 Tecate. The 83-84 KX250 motor will bolt right into a 84-85 Tecate, the motors are identical on the outside.

no it will not work. the centered exhaust port poses a problem with the single downtube frame. the 84/85 t3 exhaust port exits at an angle to clear the frame tube.

wouldn't it be possible to put an 83-85 KX/KDX?/KXT jug and head on the next generation? Ive heard about the KX mod, what years would fit?
not trying to threadjack, but might help if you have a mishmash of Kawi parts.
