Engine bolt pattern (110 and 125)

My dad has found a friend that has a 125 engine from a 125 3 wheeler, and said we can have it. From what he's saying, it didn't get used much, but started every time, and has been under a tarp since.

My question is will a 125 engine fit into the same bolt pattern as a 110?

I think it will swap out with no problem as long as its not one of the vertical engines that came in the later 125's. I'm not an expert though, this was just told to me.

yes, the 90/110/125 laydown motors were all interchangeable. you may need some frame modification possibly for the starter on the 125M motor, not sure on that. But as long as its laydown, it will work.
