A little more info on what you are re-ringing might help us a bit...

2 stroke? 4?

What year? Model?
Honda?

to order parts you may even need a vin or serial##

Parts suppliers like that kinda stuff.

Makes 'em feel important and part of the party

It's pretty straightforward if you're mechanically inclined. I have not done a 200. I did my 110 last month - my first top end job. Just follow the steps in the manual. Keep things clean and organized.

You can probably get a manual online free - just a search away.

Follow the steps. Take it apart measure the cylinder or have somebody who knows look at the cylinder and let help you determine if it needs an overbore. My 110 only got a quick deglaze / dingleball hone and fresh rings standard size. I lapped the valves, too. My exhaust valve/seat was well used and needed some love. The thing runs great with no smoke.

Good luck. If you like this kind of work, it's fun and very satisfying when that thing starts right up!!

so there is really no worries about messing the timing up? or just keep the timing chain where it is suspended?

This is where things get f'd up, fortunately, your asking for help.........

ANY 4STROKE MOTOR - Piston at TDC, cam lobes away from the rocker arms and in a 180 degree line with the machined head flat portion.

Plenty of guys here will give you a free downloadable manual. Please use it........

Sorry for the ambiguous answer - I meant to say...

Getting the timing right is a concern because it's important but if you follow the steps in the manual it will be no problem.

I just don't know what those steps are for the 200 engines.

Print it out. Read the section you will doing a couple times if this is the first time you have done an upper end. Pay attention to everything. Some people take pictures, a good idea. Be patient.
