Hi, I recently acquired my grandfathers old 3-wheeler. It is a mud bug?? Has anyone here ever heard of these? I have an extra green body but it has an original orange body on it now and what appears to be the original ski for the winter. It has some sort of newer honda engine in it. Could anyone tell me what engine this machine originally came with? or what year mud bug this is? I believe they were made from 1971-1973. Any info at all would be greatly apprecited.

Some pictures would go a long way to help identify it. I'm curious as to what you have.

Definately repairable, its just that you won't be able to match the old outer finish, which appears to be a gel coat with metal fleck. That would have been the first layer laid down in the mold, then the glass layers afterwards. Very's 60's look. They had that finish on old dune buggy's too.

The machine is a 1971 leisure veichles Roamer, not a Raider there were approximately 50 total produced in 1971.

thats a cool little thinngy. i like it. glass is easy to do. its just how much time ya wanna spend on it. its just laying down the mat and putting resin on it. what makes it look good is finishing it with alot of sanding a little bondo here and there and your done.
