Well i got tired of the YT175 i ride looking faded out and well just plain old. I never realized just how faded they really were till i got the sandpaper out. Took a long time to get them where they are right now, but it was well worth it. I never had pics of the plastics before i started, but i have another set that are also faded. Not as bad as the ones i sanded though. so i used those as before pics, bare in mind though that the one pictured are actually less faded than the ones i sanded. With that said here is a few pics of the faded ones. First one is the fading i hate so much...

And here are few of how they came out. MUCH better i would say. There is some rash on the plastics that would take years to sand out, so i left it. Its a rider after all, not to worried about that.

Hmm, mods if there is a problem with the sticker and the swear just tell me and ill take the pics out. Its all good, never really thought of it til now, lol. Im now sanding the hell out of the other ones i had, see if i can get the same results. To bad it takes so LONG. But im strong like Hercules so that makes it easier.....

i use the same process in the help section, only i use some mother polish in the end. I doubt it makes a difference but i fill a kids pool with hot water and submerge the plastic in it for around a hour before i start sanding. Underwater sanding, dont stop till your hands look like prunes, lol...

Ya, night and day difference. The only downfall is the amount of time it takes to do. But in the end very worth it....

All you really need to do now is BUFF BUFF BUFF with a RANDOM ORBITAL BUFFER and a SYNTHETIC WOOL PAD. This will bring a very shiny finish. DO NOT USE MOTHERS OR ANY OTHER COMPOUND.
