Heres the story, I win this 250es motor on ebay. The shipping was like 150.00/w crating, so i ask the guy if i can drive down and pick it up(3 hrs) he says sure!! Then he tells me he has some land in Deposit Ny, he would be going up there this wekend, and he would bring it along. This saves me atleast an hour in the car. He says, bring one of your machines, and we will go for a ride. So yesturday i loaded up the 200e and drove the 2 hrs to his land. Let me tell you, I had an awsome time!! this guy has endless riding terrain!! All his land butts up to state land, and there were trails galore, serious mountanous terrain. Awsome hillclimbs!! Kinda bummed i didnt bring something with alittle more arse!! the bigred did okay though. The guy was a really cool dude!! And he said next time he goes up he will give me a call, he said to round up some (responsible) fellow trikers and come back up!! They do rides up there all the time, and camp. He is a member of the AHMRA (i think) and he holds hare scrambles, and enduros and such up there!! Anyway, i made a new freind, found a new place to ride, and scored some sweet engines. He also brought another motor with him, that he thought i might be interested in, and i certainly was. 450.00 for the lot!! won the 250es motor with an opening bid of 250.00!!
They are both brand new!! the250es motor is a little dirty, as i would imagine it sat at floor level for 20+ yrs.

If you don't mind asking, what are you doing with the 70?I have a friend who needs a 70 motor. His kids have worn it out,had a very tough life. There is just too much wrong with it to rebuild it.Would you want to sell that one minus the carb?

guy i got these motors from said that they came out of a municiple garage on long island. He said they were doing some kind of spring clean out!! He says hes working on a car when he sees this big comotion, goes over, and there is like 20 motors sitting in a pile on the floor, they were just gonna scrap them!! there was a bunch of mexicans grabbing up all the motors they could, this guy grabbed the 250es motor, cause it was heavy and the mexicans didnt want to carry it!! he ran it over too his locker, then went back to get more. he goes to grab a 250r motor this mexican say that my motor!! you leave, guy says i dont think so, grabs the r motor, and the 70 motor. That was all he could get, the mexicans grabbed everything else!!

i actually do have a 70. I picked it up back in the fall i believe. there is a thread some where on it. Pretty nice one too. I am semi restoring it now for my 3 yr old son. If your close enough to make the journey, and you are a responsible adult, I dont think it would be a problem. This guy is a passionate rider, and just wants everyone to unite for the cause. As many of you know they are trying to snuff us out!! This guy was on track to recieve funds from the Patacki admin, so he could open his land to the public, with permits being purchased seasonaly, or for day use, but once the Spitzer/Patterson regime took over that all got the squash!!
