Dr ATV had one but its $150. Are their options available that are not as expensive?

The cheapest alternative is used. If you are good with voltmeters and such and are able to test alot of used coils, then you should be ok. Coils often have certain ohm ratings and a coil that looks like it should fit, can mess up a trikes electrical. I hate to ruin any more than is already messed up on my trikes. Trikes in general won't be getting cheaper to get and keep running as parts are drying up. People just have to bite the bullet sometimes. That's why I keep a junk bin of electrical parts and a junk bin of carb parts. Sometimes you can put together a working sytem from parts from several sources. But really there is no "cheap and easy" way anymore. I try and stockpile any reasonably priced parts that I can find. Sometimes I buy really expensive parts that I know I can't find anywhere anymore either. You have to if you want to keep them running.
