Anyone install a set of those forged aluminum extended hubs on a 200x? Does it look like a good product? Adds 1 3/4" to each axle. Is it too much stress for a stock axle? Negligible benefit?

You can use 300ex/400ex hubs and they will do about the same thing. Off the top of my head I don't remember exactly how much more width they give you.

i would not use the extended ones, they will put too much stress on the end of the axle and bend it.

400ex wheels and hubs will make it 45" wide.

heres a pic of mine with z400 wheels and 300ex hubs. its a perfect trail riding width and makes it more stable. i got banshee tires on mine.

the old pic is when it had non offset wheels and 22" realtors huge differane in handling and gaing 3" in width over all

300/400ex hubs give you .75" per side the offset trx rear wheels give ya .75" per side also.

stock wheels are 9X8"s if you go with 9x9"s you'll be at 46" wide

thanks for the suggestion, but scrounging old parts sounds like a longshot (but I acknowledge genuine honda parts aren't going to give a guy grief unless they are worn out). The forged aluminum hubs are only $80 a pair on ebay. My concern is whether the aluminum ones are junk, and if added width will do some greater harm.

400ex and 300ex hubs are like 40 max a set, i got my last pair for 35 shipped. i wouldnt trust alum hubs for trail riding, but thats me, i like the trx style hubs, they will take a beating just like the oem wheels with rolled edges.

if you use them hubs, i think they are +3 per side...keep that in mind.

450r hubs will fit as well and are offset like the 400ex and 300ex hubs. They are only slightly more then $80 and like you said, the factory hubs wont cause greif.

I just won a set of 300ex hubs for $11 dollars. There are a ton of them out there.

Those 300ex hubs fit the axles and the 4/110 rims?

Yes, they bolt right on. Here is a pic of my 200X with 400EX hubs
