I just spent a decent amount of time trail riding on the 250 SX, with a little jumping, and the 250SX seemed really top heavy, and I didn't care for the way it handled on jumps. Maybe it's because I'm not used to it, but I'm curious if anyone has the same opinions. I did enjoy the reverse, but that just made me wish I had a 225DR. The only thing I really liked over the DX was the much plusher suspension with more travel, and it felt noticeably faster on top end, even though the stats don't say it is. What do you guys think?

i got a chance to ride both of them when they were new. i rode the yamie first and i liked it. it was a fun little trike. soon after i rode the 250SX. the yamie seemed sportier at first and the SX felt heavier and slower (the steel gas tank does not help.) but after riding it, the 250SX proved to me to be a more solid package. the suspension was a little better, it turned better, and it was faster. you can't fault the yamaha though it came out first and set the standered for its class wereas the 250SX came out later and was Honda's answer to the 225

I have ridden both. I own a 225DX. My wife rides it. The thing is heavy and not really made for jumping. It is one of the best trikes I have ridden in the snow and mud. Love the shaft drive man, low maintenance :) . But get real both of these bikes are heavy as an anchor. The wide front tire on both machines makes for crappy turning but more stable at the same time. Lets face it the 225 has a trailer hitch...........
Its a trail bike period. Jump it all the time and gravity will let you know what I am talking about as you bounce a few times!! Who wins?
