yamaha ytm carb troubles could use some help

hello got an 83 ytm 200E trying to get it running massive carb problems cant get the idle set turning screw to set wont stay right the choke does nothing when running i can pull choke out makes no difference ive had this carb apart about a dozen times blew everything out cleaned it the jets look nasty had alot of corrosion cleaned them up best i could but all holes are ok and working, had gas over flow tried to adjust float does not seem to matter although overflow has stopped, adjusted throttle cable that does not make much difference, called yama dealer parts are pretty scarce. AHHHHHHHHHH any help would be great or if someone has a carb i could buy. thanks kris

have you soaked it over a day in chemdip carb cleaner???? for the does the little pin that attaches to the float that stops the fuel from goin in have like grooves in it or is it worn. if you would like a new onehttp://www.dratv.com/mivmcateouto.html you will need the vm22 that would be the stock replacement but it has a choke knob instead of a cable. i just dont know about the jet sizes ill look in my haynes manual tomorrow.
