Installed a RICKY STATOR flywheel and stator in my motor today.I lined up the stator on the case marks, but when I installed the flywheel on at TDC the flywheel timing mark did not match up perfectly on the case marks as told by the manual. The flywheel can only be installed one way-the manual states the piston should be a 2.23 mm BTDC but mine appears to me to be on the downstroke of the piston, any ideas. The piston is at TDC currently, and when you move the flywheel to the timing mark is appears to be on the downside of the stroke, did I do something wrong?

With the Ricky set-up, install stator with mark lined up on plate and V on upper case. Then install fly on crank end. It will be fine. Never had a problem installing it the quick way with Ricky.

But is the timing right-or does it just run, the stator is slotted for a reason right? It might just run and not make the proper power it should.
