86-87 kawasaki tecate head stud interchange question

HELLO FOLKS,I want to order some new head studs for the tecate and since the kawasaki ones are discontinued,would anyone out there know of another up to date machine i can order some new ones from,i have measured them and they are 8mm x 55mm,and i have also seen them used on ebay but it said they were 8mm x 40mm,so i am kind of confused there,could some one clear this up.thank you for your help.
