Hello!
I'm new hear, i recently bought an 84 honda 200cc 3wheeler. it runs great, starts great and i'm very happy with it, but it keeps burning through spark plugs. like 2 plugs per tank of gas. starting to get expensive, lol. any one know what might be wrong?:wondering
thanx in advance,

I had the same problem on my 84 Trx 200 and it uses the same carb as yours, went to honda and got a rebiuld kit for the carb and no more problems. When you get the kit it will only have a jet needle and needle jet. When you replace the needle jet compare the new one to the old one and you will see how badly the old one is worn, not much but it will make a huge difference in the way your trike starts and runs and no more fouled plugs.
Hope this helps

your running to rich if your going threw plugs, to much gas. finding the reason why is the tricky part, maybe its what big danno said

Thanx for the replies, bringing it in to a friends for a nice tune up and carb rebuild. hey i'm new to bikes, but i've been running the whole time with the gas valve thingy on ''reserve'' the whole time, could that have anything to do with it?

reserve is there for when you run out of gas in the "on" postion. does it smoke/ burn oil?

Buy a adjustble float, set height and this will allow you to lean it out a lean it out

no smoking or oil burning,,,, must just be the jets/dirty carb thats causing the fouling. i figure out the reserve part, just wasn't sure if maybey that would have caused it. kind of a cool option, now that i know about it..lol

my 1982 xr 80 use to blow plugs all the time. all i did was tune the carb air an fuel mixture and that fixed it .
is the thing hard to start?

I had the same problem with my 200e, Jet was too big so i couldent ajust the mixture. Mechanic also said that if the oil in the case is old itll have toomany metal particals in it, this will make it stick to the plug. so I changed my oil . much better.
