84 200x valve adjustment opinions

Background info.... My 200x runs good im just trying to do some preventive maintenance.
I was able to stick my 004 feeler gauge in both valves. 003 is the spec it calls for. So i should tighten the valves slighty.

Here is where im looking for some opinions from some people who have experience with this. How tight should the 003 feeler gauge be? 003 is the smallest feeler I have so I cant check and see if anything else smaller will fit. Should there be a slight resistance with the 003 feeler or just slide ride in. Or just adjust so the 004 will not fit.

This is my first time adjusting valves on a small motor so im trying to learn from experienced people.

the .003 should have a little resistance, the .004 might be able to just barley squeeze in with some force and with the .005 there should be no way on getting it in at all.
with that you should be good.
