well i recently traded for a 1985 tecate 3 its red and in rough condition i cant find many parts for it does any1 know any info about them i should know i gave a blew up xr 100 and 15 bucks for it so did i get a good deal also this is my first tecate

Awesome choice. Try the 84-85 tecate group in the site toolbar. Join the group and ask all the questions you have. There are a few people doing builds on them right now.

All did originally from the factory, There have been many changed over to Iron sleeves over time though, use a magnet to check.

so like in 86'-87' they basically started changing and are the frames or anything do they need to be reinforced?
