I rebuilt my '86 350x a couple of years ago and found out after putting the engine in that the head was junk (ebay special, always double check). I ran it with a massive valve leak for a couple of trips to Sand Mountain. It did not run very well at all and I put the trike on the back burner for a couple of years. In my defense my wife and I just had our first baby a little over a year ago and that has kind of consumed all of my free time. I finally have had it with the trike just sitting under a cover and decided it was time to get it going again. I sold a bunch of my R/C stuff to fund the re-rebuild of my beloved 350x. I sent my original head and my ebay crap head to my brother with all new parts to have him rebuild the guides and valve seats (I actually have all of the tools to do this job, but I don't have the correct size valve seat grinding guide). I just rebuilt the swinger and put a good used rear axle in it last week. I also somewhat repaired the one headlight with the rust in it, and if it's nice this weekend I have some new bearings for the steering stem to put in. I am mainly waiting for the head now. I have put this thing off for 2 years and now and I can barely wait 2 weeks for the head to come back. I am getting really excited. :Bounce

If only I had a garage to work in.

Here is how it sit's now (actually it's covered back up, but you get the idea)

Belive it or not, that only took about 45 minutes to tear it down that far.
