85 R rotor hub HELP NEEDED ASAP

When I was cleaning parts tonight to get ready to polish them I noticed the rotor hub is cracked. I need to know if the 86 up hub is the same as the 85 I know there are some differences in the rear ends I am just not positive what.

They are the same bolt pattern, but use different sprocket's. The 86 & up hub Is not threaded, and the 86 & up bolt's are countersunk with nut's. The offset of the hub Is different In refrence to the carrier, but the sprocket Is still In the same place because the sprocket goes on the opposite side of the hub. I have never removed the hub from a Honda Axle, because they fit TIGHT, I would look for another axle. You can use any axle In a 85 carrier, buit can't use a 85 axle In anything but a 85 carrier. Even a 400ex axle Is the same as the 86-89 R, but the ex hubs would be needed as they are smaller at the spline. A 86-87 200x, 300ex, 350x, 450r all use the same hubs as the 400 ex

Thanks for the great info. I guess I should have said it was the brake rotor hub that was in question. Is this the same.

Yes, the 86 brake rotor hub Is the same as the 85.
