1984 honda 200s valve adjustment

I need help adjusting my '84 200s valves.I have a Clymer manual,is says to stick the feeler between the cam lobe and rocker pad.I can't even see in there to see them let alone get a feeler between them.Do you need to do this by feel only,need longer feelers etc.. -Thanks

It easier to do with the tank and the seat off.

Hi,
I've found it to be easier if your using a feeler gage that's flat. take the gas tank out & put in the gage from the side & swing it counterclock wise, it should slide right in.
