I'll really need to debate what to do with this one. Are they common, scarce, rare, etc.??? I was surprised to see it is Shaft Drive with reverse. The VIN comes up as a 1985 KLT 160. It actually runs and drives even though the carb is held together with wire. Small collections growing!

That is great. I love the pull start handle. A little cosmetic work and a new headlight piece and you will have a great trike. Congrats.

i like the lights, gives it a weird bug/alien look. this is deff the kinda trike you just beat the crap out of it till she blows. restoring it a bit to a more original condition might be cool but what ever you want to do to it will be cool either way. as long as it stays alive and running :TrikesOwn

Its a beauty, the collector value must be huge for the NOS blue pull start. I like the weird head lights, looks like some crazy bug coming at you. And for $140, since it runs, I probably would have. I would say to use is as the beater. Let friends ride it, they can't hurt it much. I always like having something other people can ride, but I don't want to let anyone learn on my 200X because I want to restore it. But that you could own without feeling the urge to make it new again.

My sons been out riding it. I'm surprised at the power for a 160. Only thing that I can't figure out is the 1985's I pull up through a search show the frames as black for these KLT160's. This one was originally Lime Green before someone tried to make it look like a Honda! Anyone know if they came in Green or if Green was optional?

My KLT is red right from the factory. I think the frame is black.
