how to start?

i have a 83 ytm 200E and it lost the choke. i9 was wondering if there is a way to start it cold with out the choke?

try push starting it.

Take a hair dryer and warm up the cylinder/head. Never tried it but it may work!! (Another solution, use a little ether on the air filter)

It would be kind of troublesome but you could take the air filter off and cover the intake hole about 3/4 or a little more with masking tape to get it going....same as choking it.

I got a better idea. Buy a choke for it. Find an old carb and rob the assembly off of it. Although all the things posted above would work, it would get so boring doing this every time that you wouldn't want to ride. Look through the classified section or post a wanted ad. Also check eBay, and you'll be set.

why do all of those??? Just hold it to the bar while pulling it over always works for me!
