on my 85 250r the guy I bought it from told me the stator was bad. It got water in the stator housing. I took a multi meter between the red and white wires and get nothing. The stator has a lot of white calicium build up on it. can it be cleaned off and is there a chance its any good? or in this case do you just buy a new one and call it good?
Has anyone tried rewinding the stator by hand? jim
