i was just wondering why i have never seen anyone mention the 125m i had one and it was a awsome little trike wish i still had it, that thing went threw the snow better than my 250sx. i gave it to a good friend for his 9 year old girl she loves it rides it more than her little 90cc four wheeler. so anyways why does it seem the 125m has been banished? i grant you i just joined here a few months ago so i probably missed some threads that contain the 125. i havent even seen any forsale or parts for one

I just picked up a 125. Not sure what the M stands for, or whether mine has it or not. All I know is mine has a tank not like a 110, choke lever connected to a cable on the bars, and the front tire has a drum brake. Going to part it out/use my 110 parts to sell some of it as a complete trike.

Its basiclly a larger 110 motor with electric start.

I didn't see an electric starter on it, but it may have been taken off or maybe I overlooked it. Dropped the engine out of it and took off the chain. Need to secure the rear axle better, get tires, then put my running 110 motor in it and sell it.

It looks like the 110 set up, engine wise. So reading into it now, I believe it's an 84/85 125m.

I bought a beat-up 84 125m for $70 bucks a few month back, the best investment ever!! The kids love to ride it because it idles so smooth. The question I have is this: Will the headlight only turn on if the trike has a battery hooked up to it or can it turn on with out one? I checked all wires everything is hooked up right. just power to the wires when the bike is on???

You don't here much about any thing unless its a 200x 250-350r tri z etc. Ive only ever come across a couple build threads that wernt one of the sport bikes . The utility trikes need love too!!!

Mine doesn't look to have the elec. starter. This is the pullstarter I got off of it,

http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b253/videogamer2005/atc042.jpg

Anyone that has one, is this the same? I'm inclined to believe that's an 81-83 110 starter. The supposed 125 engine I have looks to have the 'groove' in the top corner, like the 84/85 110 models, and like in the picture:
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b253/videogamer2005/atc028.jpg

This starter is perfectly round with a round gasket, looks like my 81 110? Sorry to hijack, just trying to figure out what trike I have...I'm thinking 125m with a 110 engine? I got the engine and vin numbers, will run those now.

I out grew my 125 lol it got to the point it would not pull me around other than low range lol I was too big for it.

Do you have pictures of the whole engine? That would help to better indifity it.

Bigworm- The light should work with out the battery, have you checked the bulb? If the bulb is good, try putting jumper cables on it and see if it works, if it still doesn't there is probably a wiring issue.

Dammit!

Haha no the seat pan was basically gone from rust. It was pretty much a seat cover on top of foam only.

The only trike I had for years and years.
It pulled everything incl full size ford f250 across the driveway.
I weigh 200 lbs, 2nd gear hi range is perfect to go across the field dragging stuff.

if the creek was little too deep, and I didnt want to run the hot motor thru it (cold was ok)
I'd get off and leave it in gear and walk next to it.

sucker would float itself

I had one before I caved the tank in. I cannot believe it pulled an F-250. I need to try that with my 200 and newrider3's F-100 lol.

I've got one that I've been whining about for some months now. Never ridden it, I got it with a bad tranny. Still working on the engine rebuild. At this rate, it will be done in July or so. My 90 pulls my 200lbs around no problem, so I'm sure that the 125 with a fresh rebuild can do it just as well if not better.

I know what you mean! The idea of separate sections for the Utility Trike and the Sports Trikes would be a Great idea!

It can turn on with out one Check your grounds and the switch with a mutlimeter if you can. there should be a tail that splits for the key ignition ground and the headlight! i have a manual and can post a pic if you need! i had two of the 125Ms loved them! Traded one to JohnR on here for his daughter in trade for her 70 for me lol. thing was great in the snow. there only weakness was there frame. the backbone is weak!
