Looks better than any three wheeler I have bought. Great deal for $300. I'd do that in a heartbeat due to elec start and reverse.

So what kind of ideas do you have for it? Are you going to fix it up to a like new condition or just make it rideable?

I'd grind off everything he did to the grab bar; Sometimes I wonder why people even attempt things....... I wouldn't even do that for FREE!!

Too bad it's an 85, those rear ends just don't seal well; But the price was right and if it all works then your laughin :beer

the rear ends on the 85's seal just fine, but when you put in that the machines are like 25 years old. yea they tend to leak lol.. i have 3 250sx's now 2 are true 85's and one is a 87 with a 85 rear end on it. none leak and are all perfect. maintain your machine and you dont have a leaking issue. its people who romp around and then throw the machin in the garage without cleaning it lol

MMIGUY - Let me just clear something up. The 85 drums seal Is the outer seal or the entire drum OD(maybe an 8" or 10" seal) - One HUGE seal and it rotates as you ride. The axle tubes do not have all the o-rings the 86/87 does. ANY drum seal is the 1st line of defense, then the axle bearing seal deals with anything that passes by. The BIG seal leaks, the smaller one is much more reliable IMHO..................

The 86/87 drum is bolted down solid and the axle runs in a special seal on the axle tube and with a little grease, it holds up very well. The 85 does not have this feature.........

The 85 parts are unfortunately so much more prone to failure whether you agree with me or not.............. I've owned all of them and seen the damage that incurs.........

Back to the OP and getting off topic - I'm so glad you have an 86/87. It seals so much better no matter who agrees with me :D :beer I love HONDA, I have no reason to pick on any/one model unless I have the proof/facts/experience to back it up.
