View Full Version : My find of the day, ATC70 with weight bench seat, lol W/pic *UPDATED
I found this today browsing through my local classifieds. He wants 150 bux for it comes with the original seat and rear fender. says it runs like a champ, no smoke. He said he made the seat out of a weight bench and bolted it on. Thank god he never welded it. 150 is cheap cheap in this area for this, even with the weight bench, lol. The pic is from his ad. ill post more when i pick her up in a few hours. i cant wait, i always wanted a 70, :D.

looks like a good deal to me. i think the frame is bent under the tank but that is easy to fix.

I think $150 for a 70 just about anywhere is a good deal. Maybe you can sell that seat for some money to recoup some of your costs.

theres a thread on here somewhere where a guy used a small bottle jack and a piece of wood to straighten that bent headtube out. If you can find that youll have your fix. Because it definitely looks bent to me.

upon looking at the pics again, i think it is bent as well. Its sitting in the back of my blazer right now. rear fenders are toast, so is the front. seat looks to be OKish. tank is in fair shape, pretty rusty inside though. everything else is in excellent shape shifts very nicely. super clean little trike, and the seat is hilarious. I pulled it a few times she wants to go. It backfired a few times. It hasnt ran in 2 years. A carb clean and some fresh gas im sure will help alot, maybe even a plug. Ill pull it out tomoro and get some good pics and take that seat off, lol. thanx for the link mike....

oh ya, and it ran for about 45 seconds. sounded good, but she wont fire up again. i think i flooded it and its cold. so ill have to wait awhile before i try it again...
Well i drained the tank and fixed the triple bypass petcocks he had setup. Pull start handle was broke, replaced it and my knot gave out and the recoil ate my rope, lol. Took the recoil off, and it was redneck engineered pretty good. Fixed that up nicely, thanks to the old boy down at my local hardware store. in the fifth pic i took, you can see some red electrical tape right in front of the carb. There was a break and was fixed very crappy, took care of that. Pretty sure thats why it died and wouldnt start again. Im going to order a plastic tank, till then im gunna pull the tank again and clean it the best i can and run some inline fuel filters till i get the new tank. Looking at some plastics as well. the frame is bent in the usual spot you guys had mentioned, good eyes is all i gotta say. when i get the front plastic, ill try the bottlejack fix. any comments or suggestions would be sweet...
