83 200e electric start wont work

just got a 83 200e not to bad a shape put a new battery in it but es button doesnt work , nor does the headlight . if i jump the solinod it starts still no headlight . fuse is good , any thoughts thanx

bad battery ground, ignition switch. make sure its in nuetral. on this bike nuetral is all the way up.

Check the cables, ground, and the neutral saftey switch.

is the start button on the handle bars with the light switch?

yes the light switch and start and kill al together

no prob there might be a bad wiring harness plug under the gas tank or seat .. or the wires are broken by the front also try cleaning the start switch contacts
