It does look like a works shock. 88TurboCoupe has the same shock on his Tiger. His is a Works shock.

That box is most likely a voltage regulator just like you have on your other R's Anything with lights on it should have that so you don't blow the bulb.

I don't know what the pipe is. Nice bike though. It needs a DG head to add some bling to the motor.

I had bought a dual headklight set up for a 85 250r and it came with the same box, so I would go with regulator, maybe it had a bigger light setup in the past. Nice old school bike, good luck

i do believe that box is a rectifier .. for making dc power . maybe to charge a battery

Tthat is a Works shock on there. And I'm pretty sure that is an old DG drag pipe. Looks like the one I've seen in magazines. Let me know if you want to sell that shock and swinger.

Thanks guys and thanks shortline for having a look in old DW's i thought it might be a Tri-Tech but looks slightly different ....and isn't that one in the ad for a oddy??? could be a moded oddy pipe?? don't think its a DG they always badged up there pipes....
Yep your right Kasey its a rectifier i found a ad in a old 3 wheeling mag for the same box....

Thats a VERY long shock on the rear of that thing. It looks like a no link, I bet that rear suspension has a Ton of travel. What are the round thing's on the top of the shock?? Maybe something to help cool It?? I thought for a minute It was a triple rate spring setup.

I'm almost positive that's a works shock. It looks just like mine.

The pipe is a DG....and if I may say so, a desirable find since this style wasn't made very long.

The aftermarket and/or custom rectifier may have been installed due to a re-wound/high output lighting coil.

Extremely cool machine!

The pipe almost looks like the old Hooker style made for the old CR 125 and 250, but they come out the bottom, I had a oddy with a DG kit years ago that had a DG pipe that looked like that, and I had an intake that looked like that it had HS stamped on it and it had a boost bottle port, dont know who HS is tho? I would say it had a hight output BAJA light at one point and i has a rewond lightig coil in it thats what the bo it for? Very sweet bike for sue..
