I'm sure someone out there has a catalog but let's see what you have. I picked this up off of eBay a couple weeks ago for $14 shipped. I attempted to get it on tonight but was unsuccessful. I got it onto the aluminum sprocket cover but there's an indent in that cover required to clear the fender and the case saver doesn't have that.

Those case savers always require some tweeking to make them fit right . They can also be modded to fit the 200x . They made them for the 90/110 also . I'll have to dig threw my parts I'm sure I have tons of old BAPP stuff .

OK shortline, rub it in. LOL I have a couple bits. Anyone with a BAPP aftermarket 90/110 intake has a Big Al's product and they may not even know it.

Nice little pile. You've been pulling out all the goodies lately haven't you? Is that a 90/110 chain tensioner? And that white brothers pipe cap for the supertrapp was pretty trick too. I've got to come down and see your goodies the next time I visit my buddy in hollywood.

We still have a set of Big Als paddle tires, the first paddle tires that my dad ever saw so he picked up a pair. They still hold air and have all kinds of paddle. They have ALOT, 15 or so, of less than 1" paddles. But they work great on machines with a lack of power.

Looking for other parts this morning and came accross these as well. The BAPP 200x Piston was made to Curtis Sparks specs and was 13:1 compression very trick part .

Alot of my stuff has been posted on the site before. And not much of my stuff is Big Al's. I have a few NASA bits too. Some of my neat pieces have been acquired in the last year or so, like the Johnson electric start, which wouldn't really count on this thread. I dig seeing other people goodies. Not many people have my taste for the more eccentric of the trike world. LOL Other people on here deserve the chance to show what they have. I'm really digging this in a big way. Keep it coming everybody. And Shortline, I'll try to give you a little warning before I coming knocking on your door. LOL I hope I can borrow you for the day so I can really check out some of your machines.

I went to see BAPP back in 1982 and got some freebies. The guy then took me into his office and sat me down and asked how many parts I'd like to buy. I said how many do I have to buy and he said we could start off in the 30 - 40 THOUSAND dollar range. In 1982 dollars thats about 4 million bucks today. I told him I would have to give it some thought and went out to the motorhome and changed my undies.

Is that a Winnebago?! I should use that as my wallpaper.
Secondly, why would anyone tell the story of Big Al's parts sitting on the shelf, and they left them there???
I know people only like things if they are for 250rs. This stuff doesn't grow on trees you know. And granted, most of these parts would be like hi performance parts for a model T, but this stuff isn't being made anymore and hasn't been made in awhile. Do you know how many people who I have talked to that threw cases and cases of this stuff away? And not just 90/110, but 185s stuff too.

Shortline, I have a pipe real close to that, but no baffle on the end. All it has in it is this old spring loaded aftermarket flap that you could adjust to give you back pressure.

05-13-2010, 07:51 PM
PCCC made the turbo wheels as well as the cast aluminum triple trees. I have one of those headlights, but with a different mount. I also didn't think Big Al's mad the rutt ryder, but there they are in the picture. I had one but it's sold now.

Wow very nice !! Thanks for the pictures , now I need to clean my keyboard/monitor LOL
I have one of those lighting coils with the 3 wires , I know 1 wire is for the motor and the other 2 are for lighting so does that make them 75 watts each wire = 150watts total ?
Hey that rutt looks very familiar :D, I believe the rutts were made by Dickson design and development

You guys have some sweet stuff there I'd love to have a set of those black turbo rims on my 200 but I'd probably damage them. That and I probably couldn't afford them anyway. What is the name of those rims? What are those weird forks and what is there purpose? sorry for the stupid question just not old enought to know about the 3 wheeler racing scene.
Vealmonkey
05-13-2010, 10:31 PM
The rims are PCCC turbo rims and they came in several colors. They are cast aluminum and heavier than the spun aluminum rims of the time. The front end is a "Rutt Ryder", and I'm pretty sure it's the earliest suspension front end, least wise as I remember. There was another front end that was similar to the "Rutt Ryder", but the name escapes me now. I also think the "Rutt Ryder" had a second generation front end, but that was a while ago. LOL I don't have any pics of my old seats with the funny tops like a couple people have been looking for lately. Come to think of it, I don't have any pictures of my "knock off" rear nuts either. I have to get some more pics. But since this is a BAPP thread, I don't know if it would be appropriate. But I think Big Al's had a couple of stores where they sold other companies parts though. I have to get a couple pics of my Johnson electric start as well. I'm not sure if we should start putting pics of all the aftermarket 90/110 parts in here or start another thread? Aluminum frames, suspension frames, other aftermarket intakes, real wheelie bar kits and such.

Well, the 90 was hondas longest running production trike. Except for small changes, they didn't change much from 1970 until 1982. Parts would interchange. You could use a 1979 rear axle assembly on a 1970 trike if you wanted and other things like that. So naturally alot of aftermarket parts would interchange as well. They raced honda 90s, way before the 185s or 250r hit the showrooms. All the big names started racing atc90 and some atc70s as well. Once the 185s hit the scene, things really started to change fast and the 250r pretty much started at the same time or slight after. Once the 250r hit showrooms, everything changed. Aftermarket frames started showing up with rear suspension and all kinds of stuff like that. There were aftermarket frames before, that took tons of dirtbike and even streetbike engines, but rear suspension really made the difference. In the sand, a hardtail didn't matter much. Everywhere else though, it was a whole new ballgame. And of course, the West Coast was where most of the action started, or so it seemed. There was East Coast activity, but not as crazy as things were out West.

A member on here already has posession of the Rutt Ryder front end. Another member on here has posession of the 4 bolt turbo wheels and another member has posession of some of the 3 bolt wheels. The remaining 3 bolt wheels I have are spoken for on a project trike. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But keep your eyes open on ebay, they do pop up on occasion.
