Where would the best place be to get clutch items for a 81 185s? I am looking to replace the shoes on the centripical clutch and the clutch disks in the regular clutch.
What are the symptoms of the centripical shoes being bad/worn and what are the symptoms of the regular clutch disks being bad/worn? The clutch disks have been adjusted by the book, but I will be changing to GBC Gator tires(stock size, vey aggressive tread) soon and I figure they will be hard on the already old clutches. Thanks.

Parts Unlimited has a pretty decent list of aftermarket parts for ATCs if you're looking for something other than stock. Powersportspro.com is who I buy from when I need OEM parts.

I not worried about the parts being stock, just as long as they are good parts. Im going to order parts in the next couple days after I figure out where I want to order from.

I have a Hanyes manual to kind of go by. Is there anything particular to watch or look for while replacing the centripical clutch shoes? How about the clutch pack? Is there anything to replace during the clutch installation other than a new case cover gasket? Thanks for all the help.

I got some more questiins guys, sorry for the trouble. Where can I get the special socket to remove the nut on the clutch pack? Also where is the best and cheapest place to order individual gaskets since I will be needing the right cover gasket?
I ordered the Parts Unlimited shoes from Dennis-Kirk. I havent ordered the fibers and springs yet. I may get the fibers from Dennis-Kirk also and the heavy duty springs.

I got everything tore down finally. I have new fibers, springs, and centripical clutch shoes. I found out that I will be needing a new clutch drum. The steel dics are not warped and don't look to be worn but they are smooth as a baby's bottom is this how they are supposed to be? Can I go over them with a angle diegrinder with a scotch brite pad on it or do I need new steels? Thanks.
