hey folks.. I have an 82 yamaha and I want to rebuild and hot rod it out.. heres how I want to modify it.
port and polish the head
mill the head
install a performance cam
advance the ignition
I have no problem running race gas due to the upped compression and timing. however I haven't rebuilt a Yamaha motor before so I have a few questions. first question I have is can I even mill the head? second is there enough piston to valve clearance for increased lift and milling the head. and will I be able to modify the timing chain and or gears after the head is milled? I think that's all the questions I have for now.. any input would be greatly appreciated..
