I think you can find seat cover on ebay. I have an extra tank from an 84 that I think will work don't know for sure. It has some rust on the inside but can be cleaner and coated. PM me if interested with your email and I can send some pictures.

seat covers are about 30-50 bucks on ebay. Yes it will haul you around fine and you will have a blast on it and before long have a huge family of 70's and it wil become a severe unstoppable addiction!!:lock::lock: Tank can be cleaned and coated for 50 bucks as well. Just make sure to use in line filters always......70 carbs very touchy to sediment and such!! Good luck and beware:twisted::twisted:

The 70 will haul you around, just not near as fast as a 8 year old. LOL But to make life easier on your 70 and you, you need to make sure and perform routine maintenance. An oil change with the filter screen cleaning is a must. Make sure you have a new spark plug and a standby set of points and condenser, just in case. Make sure your wheelbearings are working properly and that your wheels are free turning when in neutral. Make sure you rear brake is properly adjusted. Make sure you clutch is properly adjusted. Make sure your timing is properly set and your valve clearance is properly set. These things will make your fun with your 70 last alot longer. Neglect these things and your 70 won't run well or worse, it will break. And that is no fun and can get expensive quick. And if you are really digging your 70, well then there are all kinds of things that you can do to make it faster. Bigger engines, cams and all kinds of goodies. Also you may want to look into a plastic aftermarket fuel tank for your 70. Plastic means no more rust in the tank. So there are alternatives. Wear a helmet, be safe and have fun. There are plenty of people on here that will be glad to help if you have problems. Also there is a search feature on here. If you have some free time, use the search and see what you find. All kinds of great info on here.

did you really need to strap it down with a trucker's chain? lol

hahaha i think the chain and the boomer was a over kill but i didnt have another strap. im paranoid about straping it down in the front and back cause one time i had it strapped on the back and it slipped when some one pulled out in front of me and it bent my cab a bit and the front of my bed. i tore in to the carb it was crusty crusty, got it back together. pulled it and no spark i had a coil laying around off of a yamaha. im gonna put it on tomorrow and see how it runs. i got a new plug for it and change the oil. so far i can see its gonna need a brake cable, kill switch, seat cover, front tire and i need to invest in a plastic tank.

Killer deal!
Don't worry about it hauling you around - I'm 6-4 and closer to 300 than 200 and mine hauls me around OK!
Have fun!
