Got the 185S out finally and ran it around the yard. Ran good, parked it and wnt inside. Come back out and tried to start, it started but would'nt idle or, pulled again and nothing. Pulled plug, sure enough fouled out. So replaced plug, moved needle up one spot. Now it will start on first pull, but revs high an only responds to a drastic idle change, like 2 full turns. But it won't dle don, it just dies. Check cable for sticking, couldn't find any, slide is not in backwards. But I don't have any clamps on the carb to boot and boot to air box connections. Sound like an air leak?

I'd eliminate that variable first. Can't really adjust the air fuel ratio if air is coming in from somewhere else.

If it ran good before that, why did you change the needle? Nothing blocking the intake?
I'd put it back and if you can get it to idle, back your air screw til it idles highest and turn back in 1/4...if theres no change, you might have a intake leak? l

I moved it because it fouled a plug out, and the idle air adjustment was perfect.

Decided to try and start it this morning, star by holding the throttle open a tiny bit. Wouldn't idle, turned idle srew in ad i runs. Drove itaround the yard, got a little stutter whn you ty to mash it from a stop. SO something to work on.
