I have a 85 200x that I was thinking about putting a lifan 200 engine in. With knee problems I have a hard time kick starting it all the time once I am riding it. Plus getting it unstuck can be a real chore. Dam knee. The 200x engine runs really well but smoke a little once in a while. I think the previous owner just overfilled the oil. I only put 30 minutes on it since I had it due to my knee.
Does anyone know what I can salvage off of the 200x engine to use on the lifan engine? I was wondering if the carb or any of the wiring or electronics I can modify to fit. I know I would need a battery as well as a starter switch.
