What do you guys recommend as a good front/ rear tire for the 350. I got some better pics of the one i'll be getting in a bit and the front tire looks like it may need replacing before winter. Whatare some good tires for general trail riding/ with some siding, donut, and just plain fun riding? I know only tire avalaible in oem 23.5x8x11 is the Kenda front max. But I don't mind a 23 or even 22 . The rear tires I was looking at opinions on what size is best for everyday trail riding, stock or size smaller, larger, etc?

I just got a NOS Cheng Shin 23.5 front... was sitting on a pallet in the warehouse of a local Honda shop. I didn't like the Kenda tread pattern, so I asked the guy to look around, and what I got was PERFECT. Might wanna ask your local bike shop guy to have a look around the warehouse. I had a 23 on the front and it just looked weird and got hung up on fallen trees, etc.... way too small. As for rears, I run Maxxis Sur Traks 22-11X9 in the winter... they quit making them too, but alot of shops have them still. If you want some grip in the woods, these things are great. Also, they are reversible, so they can double as a sand tire if you want. My other set of rears are Carlisle Strykers, similar to a Wooly Booger and a great summer tire. Hope this helps.

Seedoo650 and inv3ct3v are those 20" tires in the rear? Did you guys regear at all?

Dammit!

The Cheng Shin is still available new in a 23 inch. The 23 inch Cheng Shin is considerably taller than a 23 inch OEM 250r tire. It would be equal to or possibly taller than the OEM 23.5 and probably your best/only choice for a front knobby if you don't like the Kenda. I picked one up for $40 from denniskirk.com a few months ago.

I like the Holeshots and Razr's but I can buy two tires for my fullsize truck for what two of them cost, so they're out of the picture. I would think the 23 wouldn't be that much different from the 23.5, or atleast it wouldn't be noticeable. Didn't think anything about the Trailwolf's, i'll definately mull it over, it should last till atleast this time next year.

My old 23 (in my av pic) had a real low sidewall... the new 23.5 looks huge in comparison

Mine are 20" and No, I did not do any regearing. It runs and handles great with them.

I run a 23" Front Max in the front (not my favorite tire but it works) and 20" Turf Tamers in the rear. I went down to a 35 (or maybe a 33) in the back. IMHO the 350X's gears are way to short to begin with and it makes plenty of torque so I shouldn't be shifting every 3 seconds. The small rear sprocket took care of that and gave me a reasonable top end too.

As seadoo said, a trailwolf for the front is pretty good. Im not a fan of those kenda front max tires for the simple fact that they dont brake good at all. They do however steer extremely well. During the summer, I run bald tires so i can slide around. Trikes dont need much traction in the rear compared to a quad, unless you play in the mud alot. I fell in love with the duro flat-trackers. They can slide well but still hook up in a straight line. Always seems like I hi-side my bikes if I run anything with meat on them in the summer, Deepa can vouch for that.

Well, the trails we ride on are kind goopy, slop all year round, not any deep holes, or standing water, just sloppy, crap. Need something with good traction, for those trails, and probly keep some bald ones around for dry fields. Then after I get an extra set of rims, I'll buy some snow tires. By the way does anyone know if you can buy ITP, or AMS wheels (aluminum, no design) forthese 350's and what would the front need to be offset wise.

The rear wheels are no problem. They are the same bolt pattern as most Honda sport quads (250X, 300EX, 400EX, 450R, 250r) and I think the Suzuki LTR450 as well. The front is kind of tough since there aren't any readily available one as far as I know. Your best bet is to grab one from a 85-86 250R, 350X or maybe even a 2nd generation 200X. Look at riverrat's thread about modifying an aftermarket 10" wheel to fit the front. It gives you an infinitely larger selection of tires.

I was looking for a set of nice polished one for field riding, ad stock for muddy and snowy conditions.

1st of all, I like the look on Postys 350X. Actually, I like the whole trike :D

You really can run whatever you wish on the rear. I like the Razors and Holeshots myself. And no one is gonna convince me that a 23" tire is much different than a 23.5" tire......

I do like the front Kenda max, it does turn on a dime but I've noticed that it's getting worn fairly quick for a front tire. Unfortunately all the Ohtsu's and other tires we were so use to running are all gone.

I feel like I need about 4 sets of tires anyway so everyone's situation is different. I have snow tires, ice tires and a few sets of general all around tires.

I do like the Duro's in the rear of a trike too, they seem to hold up but still slide.....

That's what I like about my dimple knobbies too. They are great in the hardpack and loose stuff yet are still adequate in muddy situations. Mine have lasted pretty well and when they wear out I'd be hard pressed to buy something else. The only reason I would look at something different is to get something that is 6 ply. Although, with a little caution I have been able to ride mine for years without a single hole in them.
