Hey guys, haven't been around in a while, still working on my 85' 250R rebuild, been getting some engine parts together, new gasket kit, studs and engine top nuts, new crank seal (old one was leaking behind the flywheel) and now it's time to look at getting some rings. I'm not sure if the ones that's on it now are worn, but I'm getting new ones while its apart, what are my options? I can get some from Honda for around $50, but I can't find any one Ebay for any cheaper than that.. What do you do to get rings? :wondering

First off I would check your clearances to the manual. Before you waste any money make sure that it will be worth while to change rings as compaired to a bore and piston. Also just rings will not do you any good with out a hone. The hone will allow the rings to "wear into" your cylinder, this will not work on a cylinder that has any glazing on it. As far as the rings to get, I would recommend to get rings from the same manufacture as the piston.
