What does this do (picture) YTM225DX

What was supposed to go here? Looks like a cable of some sort, but I have no idea what...

Does anyone else have a 225DX with this piece? What is the purpose of it?

That is used for the foot brake cable on a ytm200 (same side cover).

Hey unclejemima, My 225 DX has the same empty cable holder, I also thought that was strange when I noticed it.

The 200 and the 225 use the same clutch cover. On the 200 the brake pivot point is located more forward on the frame, so the clutch cover is used to hold the cable. Notice how the engine is located more in front of the frame on a 200 vs. the 225.
