Restoring Fenders

I just bought a 350x parts bike, but the plastics have been outside for about 4 years, so they need restored. They are originals, and in pretty good shape minus one hole, and a crack up under the seat. Also they have extended fenders on them that look professionally done at best, and was wondering what is the best way to restore them? I thought I saw a post or maybe in the album section where a front fender was restored. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'm going to be giving that a whirl on a front fender I've got to see how I make out and how much work it is before tackling the rear one.
