i put on the choke and start it and it idles good for about 30 to 45 seconds and then starts to idle alot higher so i turn the choke down a little at a time till its idling with ou the choke. If i let it idle (with the choke off now) it idles fine agian for about 30 or 40 seconds and then the idle goes up. its not crazy high idle but higher than it should be. it idles fine and runs fine but even after i ride for awhile if i put it in neutral and let it sits for a minute the idle goes up again. what would make this happen any help is appreciated thanks in advance jeremy

I would check the throttle cable first, it could be stretched/binded in a certain spot or not routed correctly. Does it rev a little higer at idle if you turn the handle bar one way or another? Also check the adjustments on the cable near thumber, and on the top cap of carb and make sure they are not loose. Also make sure the idle screw isnt set too far in, making it idle high. My guess would be cable related though.
