the ones on my BR, I didnt buy myself, but they are faded to almost pink. dont know if thats a problem with the maiers themselves, or that the PO left it out in the sun too often

Their def not as good as OEM but their better than 5 gallon buckets . If you can find decent oem thats the way I would go .

The new maier fenders with all the predrilled holes arent too bad... The older stuff didnt fit as well as the new stuff does. Typically the ones turning pink have spent their fair share of time rotting in the sun... If you arent looking to spend the price for oem stuff, maier is the way to go. When I was putting life back into my 85 BR, I weighed the options of oem fenders vs. maiers, and maiers won. Even the NOS oem fenders, are still 25 years old... My fear is how brittle would they be... I guess it depends how original you want it, what your willing to spend, and how do you plan on using it... My BR looks like new, gets used like a workhorse, and I like knowing I can get matching plastic replacements if I break one....
