I did a search and didn't come up with any definitive answer. I know there are aftermarket front ends with suspension, but are there any factory suspended front ends that are a bolt on deal for a 77 90? I think a suspended front would make the ride a little better but I don't want to spend a ton.... A brake would be nice too but not necessary.
What got me thinking about this was looking at 185's with front suspension and pondering if they would bolt on a 90?

alot of the old suspenion kits were nothing more that a custom tripple clamp with your choice of dirtbike forks to attach to him. i think somthing off an XR80 would be a good idea, stuff on ebay is super cheap and just have the atc90 stem pressed into a new billet machines tripple clamp.

An 82 or later atc185s will bolt right on. I would think an 84 and later 200s would bolt right on. I don't know if the big red front ends or 250sx front ends will bolt on, but I know the tire sizes aren't right. Also a 200x, 250r or 350x front end won't bolt on without alot of mods.

I was able to gather that from the searches I did.... Good to know on the other stuff..... I kick myself everytime I think about working on my 90's for not dragging home the parts 110 that a friend of mine left behind when he moved....It had an aftermarket or homebrew front suspension and was basically complete minus the fender that got tossed in the trash... Didn't know any better then...

Can anyone confirm for sure if a 200S front will bolt up?

should bolt on fine to your 90/110 with no mods needed . Just make sure its not a front end that originally came with the 25" front tire their to wide . You want a front end that originally came with a 22 inch front tire and if its an original 200s front end it had the 22inch .

you'll need to cut the steering stop.

I guess the brake needs some work and the tire has a leak...other than that it's supposed to be a good front...

I have paid 10.00 for a 83 185s front end and 40.00 for a 200m front end, within the last six months.

Was that local? Included bars and tire? I haven't found anything local and the shipping is gonna be around $40.... I figure I don't want to spend any more than about $100 total on it... What I really don't wanna do is spend too much....That's why I am asking what you guys think it's worth... Thanks for the info Mike.

Saying what something is worth is very tricky. For one person that front end may be worth $100 or more. For another person, that front end may not be worth anything because that person has no want or use or maybe even money for that front end. I know it would be more convenient to buy a whole front end like that instead of having to buy all the bits and pieces from several different sources. Also sometimes you are at the mercy of the seller and what they want. Sometimes if money is a factor, then you just have to shop around for a deal or deals that are right for your wallet. I know that may not answer your question fully, but there are just so many things that determine "worth" to different people. I do hope you find a deal that's right for you though. Best of luck in your search.

They were local, neither are perfect.
The 185s, was a complete (everything forward) front end (though it's not in this pic). I couldn't drive there fast enough, for 10 bucks. The front axle was stuck in the tire, took me an hour to get it out...arggg.

The 200m front end, came off this bike, what's there, is what I received. I got it from Josh (litebulblsc), here on the board. I have not even messed with it yet.

Well... This one was on fleabay...went for 80.01. shipping would have been $44. I bid it up to there in the last couple minutes and was high bidder at like 14 secs left but refreshed and the computer freaked out..Lost it... I don't feel bad about it though. I went higher than I really wanted to anyway. I'll keep looking around..The rigid front works fine for the kid anyway...

New question- Old thread. In Veal monkey's post earlier in this thread we know a 200S/185S front will bolt to a 90...We also know a 200X, 250R,350X will definitely not.... But the 250SX was left out in the cold....
Has anyone tried to put a 250SX front on a 90/110? Will it bolt on?

The 350x, 200x and 250sx front end interchanges so its not gonna fit on the ATC 90 or 110.

I posted pics of my 185s with the 200x front end on it last night. This was not a bolt on swap, but was done by simply cutting the neck tube off the 200x and cutting the front half of the neck tube off the 185. When you put them together this makes a saddle and they line up perfectly, giving you two straight vertical welding surfaces to weld them together. This is a simple fab job done with basic welding equipment. This method gives you any choice you want, just find a doner bike to chop up. Whole frames are sometimes cheaper than e-bay front ends.
