Just picked this up from my uncle that said he listed it in the paper for $300 with no responses. I told him it should be cake to sell for that and told him I would spread the word to the people around town in know. A week later I bought it because everyone I talked to didnt want it and i couldnt pass it up. My 250R and the 450 arent the best trail bikes, so this is going to be my new trail bike. Tank is a little beat up and needs a new shroud on the right side, and it needs new pivot bolt bearings. It has been sitting for the last 2 years and still started on the 3rd kick.
Heres some pics from my phone.

Nobody wanted that for $350?! Is there some serious trike paranoia in your area or what? I would've been on that like stink on trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro if that was for sale around me.

Try ebay for the parts you need. I got some really nice oem shrouds form the 3ww classifieds you can look there to. Way nice bike for the price. I paid $620 for mine only difference is my shrouds are good and it doesn't need the bearings. Even with the fixes you got a better deal.

Maybe it's the location. Looks like a pretty small town? I bet if it had been for sale in the KC area it would have sold for 2-3 times that. Here in Iowa you can't find a 350x for under $1000. Awesome deal!

Well I broke my clutch cable on sunday, knew that it was coming the lever had all kinds of play in it. So I ordered a new motion pro cable and clutch lever and a carb rebuild kit. Starts great, but does not like to idle even at full choke for about the first 10 minutes, it wasnt rode at all for about two years before I bought it so I'm sure there is some gum in there. Going to check the valves this weekend especially the decompression arm, doesnt seem to do anything at all. Can anyone give me the specs for the valves and the decompression arm?

My real question is what to do with the tank. I went to school for body work before I desided to go to college, so I have all the tools and skills to fix the tank, just one question. This is my first time working on repairing a metal tank with dents this deep. I plan to obviously pull the tank off and drain it first and clean it really good. Was thinking that I would fill the tank with water to try and minimize the amount of heat applied to coating inside the take that my stud gun will create. Not sure that this will work or not. Im sure that someone out there has experience with this. Obviously if it does burn through the coating then I will have to recoat the inside of the tank, but I do not want to do this as the inside of the tank is nice looking at least right now, not sure what will happen when I start pulling dents.

I will double your money... 600 bucks, I will take it off your hands! Nice score! Weld away with the stud gun and get a por-15 tank seal kit when you are done... They work very well...

nice 350x for 300 as for the decompression your cable is probably stretched and it doesnt work but i wouldnt even worry about it all you have to do to start it easy is bring the kickstart all the way down then back up then push down till u feel a little notch then bring it back up and kick it easy as pie thats all i do and i dont have strong legs at all

Not interested in selling it, I hate to ride my 450 or 250r in trails, and this thing is so nice and I know the whole history of it besides the first two years before my uncle bought it.
I have never used the POR-15 before, I assume it is pretty easy to apply?
As for the decompression, I am not too worried about it I'm used to my 450 that kicks way harder, just would like to get this thing in tip top shape. I have to have stuff around that should work but does not.

if you don't buy it, I'll take it for $400.
