1982 atc 185s - No spark

I have an '82 ATC 185s. It has no spark.

Seller seemed to think it was the pulsar inside the CDI. I found one on eBay for about $16 delivered.

Is this my best option? Or should I replace the entire CDI / Coil first?

Have you check to see if the pin is still in the cam, behind the spark advancer?

I'd test the parts, according to the manual, before I started throwing things at it.

get a multi meter and check each part of the electrical system.
