My first thoght would be a rocker arm. sounds like there is alot of play, you need to adjust your rocker arms and go from there. It could be the timing chain but it doesnt sound like it.

Yeah, I checked the valve adjustment today, strange that it starts fine, runs fine, changes gear fine, has not lost any of its power.
After checking valve adjustment whats next? If it means pulling out the motor, I might just as well put the Timberwolf motor in.
That thing have a pull start....? almost sounds like you have a busted Spring on one of the dogs..? or electric start...busted bendix spring...Could be a loose gear under the cover...hard to tell with a video...

you will have to pull the top off to see what is going on. i would bet that you will find the timing chain bad. if you are saying the valve adjustment did not fix it, timing chain would be next to look at.

Well I got a really bad bad bottom end knock now, so as soon as the Timberwolf motor arrives from e-bay i`ll be trying to install that in the the Baja frame, I think that I can follow the manual to install it, I think that i`m going to run into 1 problem, the stator wires from the Baja are a different color code to the wire on the Timberwolf stator, does anyone know how I can tell what wires should be going where, or do you think that the best thing to do would be to swap the stators over, so all the wires match up.
Can anyone give me some tips / advice on how to swap the stators over, looking through the manual, I think I could do it but I have no pullers or anything to heat flywheel up, if I run into trouble any volunteers to give me a hand...
