185 or 200

When i bought my 185S, i was told the engine was out of a 200S. IS there away to confirm or deny this. Engine numbers, etc? The trike came with the bad engine. Both pullstarters have a hole for the decompression cable. The two evn kinda look the same. I have confirmed the frame is a 185S (by VIN and sticker), has rounded fenders, suspended front. Got anywhere i can look to find out my enigines true idenity? Also current engine is a reverse (or atleast that's wat i call it) shift pattern. You push down to shift up.

It should say on the back side of the cylinder down low the cc's. If it says 192, it's a 200, and if it says 180 (I think) then it is a 185.

If you are curious what year the engine is, post the engine number.

It is located on the lower left hand side of the crankcase, below the shift lever.

Duh, my stupid a** forgot all about the damm CC stamping on the cylinder, and too think I work at a Honda dealership. LOL Cylinder does say 192, and engine number is TBO1E-3014086. Junk engine I received says 180 on cylinder a engine number is
TBO1E-3041117. So all-mighty trike gods, what do I posses?

Most likely you have a 185s frame with a 200s motor. The 200s motor bolts right in, there basically the same motors with a few changes.

I was hoping so because the 200s is suppose to a be quick trike for what it is. Anybody know what will and will not swap between the two. Body, engine, frames, wheels, etc?

rear plastics will not swap 90% sure. and seats and gas tanks trying to remember my friends 185 and my 200s

Those are both 1983 185s engines (TB01E-3000008~).

Someone put a 200 jug and piston on one of them.

That's what i figured, because if it was a true 200, then the first 4 dgits would have been different. Thanks for the help. So any difference between the two bottom ends?
