either the throttle cable is binding somewhere or your slide is sticking in the carb. check your throttle cable route first and see if there is any kinks or if its worn. good place to start.

i usually, put alittle motor oil (straight 30 weight) on mine when i put them back together, keeps them smooth.

Throttle cables and parts in the thumb throttle assembly need occasional lubrication as well as other parts on the trike. If you had any water moisture in the carb or the throttle cable, it could have temporarily frozen.

well i did flipp it in the snow earlier in the day but after 5 hours would it stilbe there and just freeze all of a sudden?

check to make sure that the cable is not binding were it splits into two cables for the oil injection and the throttle.

pull the slide out and lube, light oil or it will stick.also lube and check the routing of your cables.

Of course if your tank was low on fuel, when you went up the hill, you could have been lean/starving your carb for fuel which would cause the trike to rev. Just a thought.
