Have a newlt aquired 200m with ES, but it's not working. I want to pull the starter out to test it. Any surprises expected when taking it apart? Basically i just want to test the starter, then re-connect it with a push button somehow due to the key missing, and ignition being able to spin freely.. If anyone has done this, opinions would be appreciated. Thanks. And yes.. I have the bill of sale.

if you have a heavy duty car battery charger, hook the ground up to the chassis or the engine, then the positive to the nut that holds the wire to the starter, turn the charger on and see if it turns over. that what i did with my klt

that is the easyest way " hook the ground up to the chassis or the engine, then the positive to the nut that holds the wire to the starter" then hookn up a start button is simple power from batt. to start button then down to the starter bi pass all the ingn.stuff by just disconecting them and wire them together:beer

I May need one..but really i could use the Ignition assembly where the key goes if anyone has one. Also in need of a front fender for it. I have a NOS headlight assembly and grill not a scratch on it for barter.Perfect sticker.
