At least the hopped up 70's look like 70's. Any dumb Harry can put a cut up trike rear fender on a road bike.

Would this be street legal? If I built one of these the only fesable reason to own it would be to drive it on the street.

Yes, it would be. As long as it has all the required safety equipment and DOT tires. Now you've got my wheels turning...

in texas DOT tires are NOT a requirement just a recommendation. i asked several inspection stations as well as the state services and they all said the same thing.
to make a trike legal all i have to do is change the front forks, do frame modifications, or somethign that says it was highly modified and it now becomes a custom bike and that can be made street legal here in texas. then all you have to have is a horn and brake lights and hi/low beamed headlight. That's all that is needed here in texas!!! SWEETNESS! i can street legalize my 200e!!!!! (doesn't mena i'll go riding on the freeway, but it does mena i can go get groceries if i want around the corner on the local road).

I know in Maryland you can't have a solid rear axle.. Must have a differential allowing the rear wheels to spin independently around turns.
