I have an 86 tecate, I am trying to get it up and running again and was wondering where I can get parts for a decent price. Also I was wondering what the parts interchange is as far as the clutch is concerned. My local dealer wants 350 for the clutch set. If I wanted a complete assembly it will run almost 500. Something I defiantly can’t afford. Any help would be apriciated. Thank you

www.denniskirk.com www.bikebandit.com Is that price for the steel and the fiber plates? Dang thats expensive. Should be a whole lot cheaper at either of those websites.

Here is $163 for friction plates, steel plates, and springs Barnett dirt digger clutches

You can use clutch kits for the 85-86 KX250 and KX500

$350 for steel and fiber clutch plates, i thought you were talking about basket parts too. That's way too much money but the clutch plates are only for those 2 years and are being made less and less since they don't match other bikes unlike the 84-85 tecate.

Seems to me dealers have seen the prices for 4 stroke parts and are now raising the prices of the 2 stroke stuff. It seems to be getting expensive everywhere to the point of almost making me consider this recreation is becoming unaffordable. $163 for a clutch kit? Rocky Mtn ATV used to sell them or like $60. They are just clutch plates which are cheap and easy to manufacture.

Expect parts for 86 T3 to be expensive and rare
